SMS Meer. Acciaierie Valbruna commissions four mill stands

Acciaierie Valbruna in Vicenza, Italy, has commissioned four mill stands for the intermediate train supplied by SMS Meer, Germany. This state-of-the-art equipment allows the company to produce quality products with close tolerances.

The HL630-26 stands supplied by SMS Meer are able to roll 40 tons of stainless steels and special alloys per hour with high product quality.

The new mill stands are more compact and sturdier than the old stands. Acciaierie Valbruna has found a reliable partner in SMS Meer not only for the supply of technological equipment but also for services.

With the modernized mill, Acciaierie Valbruna can meet different demands from the customers: bars are produced in a diameter range from 20 to 73 millimeters (round bars) together with rebars of 14 to 50 millimeters diameter and hexagonal bars of 20 to 57 millimeters. Further products are wire rod with diameters from 5.5 to 12 millimeters and bar-in-coil from 12.5 to 32 millimeters.
