Abstract

At the end of 1950s, the construction of processing plants in Yakutia began from the moment of development of diamond deposits in Mirnyy, Aikhal and Udachnyy towns. At the end of 1970s, during the exploitation of factories, there were started to rise the particular problems, connected with the corrosion destruction of metal, damage and failure of main load-carrying structures. The intensive corrosion of columns, coating trusses, roof and floor beams is observed in the connection with the prolonged low negative temperatures, presence of permafrost soils and high-mineralized underground waters. In addition, during the constant modernization of the concentration technology of diamond containing raw materials, there appears the necessity of changing the space and-planning decisions in engineering buildings. The mentioned factors lead to the breach of structural strengths. According to the results of comprehensive instrumental audit of the status of load carrying metallic constructions, there was made a conclusion, that the normative (50 years) and large operation life of the buildings of processing plants of “ALROSA” JSC can be provided with the timely inspection of building structures, abidance of engineering instructions, reconstruction of earlier damaged elements, and holding the maintenance and repair.

This research work was held with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation, within the project No. 2010-218-01-001 “Creation of complex innovation environmentally safe technology of extraction and processing of diamondiferous ores in the Far North”, which is being held with the participation of North-Eastern Federal University named after M. K. Ammosov and “ALROSA” JSC.
