Abstract High extracting ability of the low carbonyl-chloride anions, [Rh(CO)2Cl4]2–, [Ru(CO)2Cl2], [Ir(CO)2Cl2]– by pure solvents (e.g. isoamyl alcohol) or by some reagents (e.g. trioctylamine) is shown. High efficiency of extraction of carbonyl-chloride forms of Rh, Ru and Ir is reached via their extracting from solutions complicated in their composition and containing non-ferrous metals and Fe including those from industrial products. The simple method of re-extraction of carbonyl-chloride forms of platinum metals in aqueous phase with usage of oxidizing reagents is proposed.
