The influence of instability of initial raw materials and management quality on process of copper mattes production in Vanukov furnace is studied. Results of simulation modelling have shown, how much negative are consequences of unfairly frequent interference of operators-technologists in furnace loading.It is shown that the human factor was and remains negative continuation of process development, therefore automatic fine tuning of control actions of Vanukov furnace on local models is required.
