ArticleName Perspectives of Uranium Enrichment in the USA
ArticleAuthor Based on materials by information agencies
Abstract

A serious competition is emerging in the US market of enriched uranium product. The 2013 termination of Russian-American Agreement, better known as “HEU-LEU’ (transformation of High Enriched Uranium into Low Enriched Uranium), is another argument for the creation of dividing capacities. According to this agreement, Russian weapon-grade uranium is brought to EUP-level uranium and provides about 10% of necessary EUP supply to the US market. American Corporation USEC is struggling for state guarantees from the U.S. Government to build a gas centrifuge uranium enrichment plant in Piketon.
