In terms of mining and processing of coarse block, abrasive ore at Kachkanarsky Mining-and-Processing Intergated Works, the paper presents the research and the resultant innovative technologies for repair/renewal of worn details and for strengthening of unworn parts of mining and processing equipment. The authors substantiate and discuss: renewal of side walls (edges of discs and surfaces of spindles) of rod mills; pre-strengthening of fabricated inlet and outlet pipes of soil pump 2GrT8000/71 using welding deposit as well as strengthening of gear shaft of reduction gearbox in roller-bit drill SBSH-250 and other machines by means of carbonitration. Scope of the commercial introduction of the technologies is identified, and data on wear resistance of strengthened and non-strengthened details are compared. Based on research and practice at Kachkanarsky MPIW, commercial introduction of the developed technologies has proved their efficiency in higher wear resitance and life extension for heavy duty details of mining and processing equipment.
