Abstract

Specifics of mineral raw materials base and technological process of uranium mining enterprise has historically foreordained the wide application of geological and geophysical methods of production support at Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union. Various methods and modifications of geophysics support the following basic directions of enterprise's activity: geological prospecting works, basic technology of extraction and processing of mineral raw materials, guaranteeing of ecological safety, solving of engineering problems etc. Results of works are presented in the form of diagrams and flow pattern maps or in the digitized form, according to the results of computer processing of these measurements. Geological and geophysical support of basic production is directed on the following operations:
— definition of mineralization parameters;

— control of completeness and quality of stoping;
— complex usage;
— decreasing of losses and impoverishment of minerals;
— sorting and concentration of ore mass;
— stabilization of quality;
— calculation of marketable products.
Instrument equipment of geophysical works was carried out according to the special expression of requirements, taking into account the specificity of works in underground conditions. X ray radiometric monitoring station “STARK” was designed and constructed at the entry to the mining and metallurgical plant, for the purpose of separation of complex molybdenum and uranium ores from ore flow. This station makes it possible to do the following operations:
— efficient definition of uranium and molybdenum content in ore;
— controlling of the presence of oversize pieces and impurities;
— controlling of excess moisture and granulometric composition.
These operations make it possible to provide the molibdenum line of mining and metallurgical plant with raw materials.
