Tsvetnye Metally

This year is the 85-th anniversary of Russian aluminium industry. The article by I. V. Prokopov and A. V. Sysoev tells about the history of its branches, its current state, achievements and problems.

The item «Benefication» shows the issues of suspension thickening in alumina industry, dressing of refractory gold-bearing ores, and behaviour of copper and pyrite minerals during flotation.

The item “Heavy non-ferrous metals” considers the modern state of processing technologies of zinc-bearing dusts of ferrous metallurgy.

The item “Rare metals, semiconductors” shows the articles about the processing of perovskite and rhenium-bearing molybdenite concentrates. In particular, the functional characteristics of porous silicon based electrodes for micropower current sources are considered here.

The “Metal processing” item tells about the quality improvement for zinc casting surfaces by applying multilayer protective coatings.
