In 1991, the specialists of “Irgiredmet” Institute held the first researching on the kimberlite ore concentrability of Arkhangelskaya pipe. As a matter of cource, the material composition of sample was researched along with its differences from the material composition of kimberlites of Irkutsk deposits.
In 2001, the first technological regulations were developed for the projecting of processing plant No.1 on Lomonosov diamond deposit. The usage of more efficient gravitational process of hard-environment separation for the initial ore dressing was determined due to the low content of sinking fraction minerals in base ore.
In 2006, the members of “Irgiredmet” institute and “Almazintekh – consultations and engineering” company did the researching of technological processes of ore preparation, initial ore dressing and concentrates development of processing plant No. 1.
As a result, the technological maps are developed for the basic mineral processing equipment, testing methods of the products of initial ore dressing and development of the gravitational concentrates, as well as the estimation methodology of the diamond losses on technological repartitions.
In 2010, within the limits of the development of technological regulations for the projecting of a new highproductive processing plant, the members of “Irgiredmet” Institute and “Yakutniproalmaz” Institute held the complex balance testings of technological scheme of the processing plant No. 1. during the processing of the various types of Arkhangelskaya pipe.
According to the research results of technological processes, the materials of exploration works and sitreps of processing plant No. 1, from 2006 till 2010, “Irgirredmet” institute, along with the members of “Yakutniproalmaz” Institute and “Severalmaz” company, the technological regulation is developed for the projecting of processing plant on Lomonosov deposit with productivity by 3 million tones of ore per year.
