The ESTAD (European Steel Technology and Application Days) was proposed and initiated by the Steel Institute VDEh in early 2013. It will be a regular European steel event – a worldwide technical scientific conference in collaboration with the Steel Institute VDEh, the Austrian Society for Metallurgy and Materials (ASMET), the Fédération Française de l´Acier (FFA), the Swedish steel producers’ association Jernkontoret, and the Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia (AIM).
