Реферат

The article depicts initiation and growth and presents the scope of activities of a service founded within Norilsk Nickel Mining and Metallurgical Company for regional rockburst hazard monitoring and forecasting as a tool of geodynamic safety enforcement in deep-level mining in complicated mine-technical and rockburst hazardous ground conditions of Talnakh and Oktyabrsky Mines. The authors describe the key stages of engineering, outfitting and assimilation (jointly with the leading specialized research institutions of Russia) of automated control systems for rock pressure and seismicity, the branched network of seismic stations, the data reception–transmission facilities, software systems, procedures and various advanced hardware and information technologies. Of particular interest is the usage of the research findings of the Center for Geodynamic Safety towards geotechnological improvement, in particular, application of a new type support in development headings and high-output cutting with solidifying backfilling based on mill tailings, considering the recommended methods of rock pressure monitoring and control, as well as the rockburst hazard criteria (parameter F).
