The article reports the overview of the engineering issues concerned with dressing of finely impregnated fluorite and zinc–fluorite ore in the Primorye. Integrated dressability of zinc–fluorite ore was tested using three ore specimens sampled in the Voznesensky ore province, with the content of zinc from 1.7 to 2.5% and fluorite from 17.3 to 22.78%. The samples typically contained moderate calcite: fluorite/calcite ratio was 1.61–3.64. The analysis involves two technology alternatives differing in the sequence of flotation of mineral phases. The authors have identified basic processing elements that ensure efficient transition from sulfhydryl collectors to oxyhydryl compounds. The joint analysis has shown that each of the proposed flow charts allows efficient ore dressing and production of two grade concentrates. Sphalerite recovery in concentrates with the zinc content of 39.04–47.91% reached 66.7–82.35%. The obtained fluorite concentrates satisfy all current requirements for grades FF-90 and FF-92: CaF2 content is 90.53–92.12%, silicic anhydride is 2.96–2.4%. Fluorite recovery can reach 55.37–73.65%. Prospects for commercial-scale introduction of the developed technology are discussed.
