Area of scientific interests: theoretical and technological aspects of production of high-alloyed steels and ferroalloys.

 

Since 1995 in the National University of Steel and Technology: associate professor, professor, head of the dept. “Electrometallurgy of Steel and Ferroalloys”, vice-rector on eduction (2003-2006), director of the Institute of Metallurgy, Ecology and Quality (2006-2009) and the Institute of Ecotechnologies and Engineering (2009-2011).

 

General director of the Central scientific and research institute of ferrous metallurgy named after Bardin (2011-2014), deputy general director of TSNIITMASH institute (since 2015).

 

The chairman of the All-Russian association of steelmakers.

 

Participated in scientific conferences in Russia, Ukraine, Norway, Australia, Czech Republic, China, Sweden, South Africa etc.
