Dongbei Special Steel commissions radial forging machine

Dongbei Special Steel has put a hydraulic radial forging machine with two forging manipulators in operation at its works in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China. On the machine rods with different cross-section and steel grades can be produced. With this broad range of products Dongbei Special Steel can meet the requirements of the global market.

The radial forging machine of the SMX 800 type operates with a press force of 16 MN per cylinder. It achieves a maximum pass of 800 millimeters. The two manipulators provide a clamping torque of 120 kNm and are able to move forgings weighing up to eight tons.

On the machine rods with round, square, flat or octagonal cross-section are produced. Structural steels, tool steels, but also stainless steels, titanium alloys or superalloys can be processed.
