For the European part of the northern territories of Russia, problem of assessing the consequences of long-term aerotechnogenic water pollution as in the impact zones of industrial enterprises as well as in background areas has become more urgent. The north-west territory of Murmansk region is exposed to serious anthropogenic impact, mainly related to the activity of the Pechenganickel Mining & Metallurgical Combine of the Kola MMC. The main pollutants are sulfur compounds and heavy metals. Ecological researches of reservoirs in a zone of influence of Pechenganickel are resulted. Change of natural geochemical cycles of elements and formation of hydrochemical anomalies in immediate proximity from pollution sources of natural waters is revealed. Long-term input of industrial sewage and atmospheric emissions has increased water mineralization, contents of the basic ions and heavy metals, and also has led to redistribution of ratio of the basic ions. Concentrations of heavy metals in surface layers of lake sediments on distance up to 30–40 km from pollution sources exceed the background values of 10–380 times. Analysis of the fish part of lakes communities located on various distances from sources of industrial pollution has revealed changes in fish populations, expressed in decrease of lifetime and growth rates of fish, rejuvenation of approaches of pubescence that is a criterion of environmental problems.
