Abstract

The results of studies are presented on monomineral fractions of pyrite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite by combination of butyl xanthate, dithiophosphate with O-isopropyl-N-metiltionocarbamat (ITC) and modified dithiophosphates of Beraflot series. The analysis shows an increase floatability recovery of pyrite at exceeding ionic fraction collector — butyl xanthate or dithiophosphate isobutyl (60%), in combination with the ITC. With the predominance of the mole fraction tionocarbamat mixed with ionic collector observed a selective increase in the growth recovery of chalcopyrite as compared to other sulfides. Direct experimental research methods (infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry) of the surface of chalcopyrite, pyrite and sphalerite found that when using Beraflota 3035 at the surface the shared formation of various surface compounds, which determine the differences in floatability pyrite and sulfides of nonferrous metals. To increase the selectivity of flotation of copper-zinc pyrite ore when used Beraflota 3035 with butyl xanthate, Butyl xanthate percentage should be minimal.
