Abstract Cationic functions of selective electrodes on the basis of tetraphenylborate (TPhB) salts of complexes of polyethoxylates with cations of lead (II) in solutions of nitrates Pb (II), Cd (II), Zn (II), Mg (II), BaCl (II), Ca (II) are examined. On the basis of coefficients of potentiometric selectivity it is shown that 2·10–2 mole/l Cd2+ are not the obstacle for determination of 1·10–5 mole/l Pb2+ with application of an electrode on the basis of Pb–NPh-12–TPhB. Influence of acidity and ionic force of a solution on the electrode response is estimated. Techniques of ionometric determination of concentration of lead (II) in water and sewage are offered.
