Abstract Influence of annealing cycles on electrical resistance and mechanical properties of cold-drawn wire and cold-rolled sheets manufactured from cast ingots of А7Е alloys without zirconium and with 0,6 % Zr is studied. The additive of ~0,6 % zirconium does not worsen fabricability at cold deformation and essentially raises durability of the deformed semifinished material in annealed condition (at 300–400 °C) in comparison with unalloyed aluminum. Zirconium hikes electrical resistance in cold-worked condition in comparison with the technical aluminum, however the subsequent annealing allows to achieve its decrease. Level of this decrease is defined, first of all, by concentration of zirconium in an aluminum solid solution.
