Реферат

Influence of the growing medium on electrophysical characteristics and microcathodoluminescence (MCL) of TlBr crystals, which are the material for uncooled semiconductor X- and gamma rays detectors, was studied. The samples were grown by the Bridgman–Stockbarger technique in various gaseous mediums: argon, bromine, vacuum and air. Results of measurements show that the growing medium influences significantly on the MCL and deep level spectra of TlBr crystals. At the same time the Fermi level position and the dark conductivity have changes in a small degree. The crystals grown with slight addition of bromine (1013,25 Pa) has the highest specific resistance and the best structure. Growing in vacuum leads to degradation of all characteristics of the crystals: they demonstrated low specific resistance, the strongest signals in spectra of thermally stimulated current and relaxation deep-level spectroscopy, absence of indirect exciton and low intensity of direct exciton according to MCL study.
