Abstract
Composite titanium-bearing ores are the complex ones. Efficiency of their processing depends on the valuable components extraction completness. Scientific and technological basis of the titanium raw material processing established at the beginning of the XX century has been developed at the Baikov Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Composition of iron-titanium raw materials and schemes of ores from different regions of Russia utilization are analyzed. The study led to a new technology of oil-bearing leucoxene sandstones processing with synthetic rutile obtaining is described.
