Abstract
The new aluminium alloy on the base of Al—Mg—Si—Cu system for production of drilling tubes has been developed. The tubes, produced from this alloy have satisfactory strength characteristics (400 MPa yield strength, 14,8 km specific strength), high ductility. Alloy is characterized by thermal durability, processability in press production, weldability with argon-arc welding and, the most important thing, has essential advantage comparably with D16T, AK8T1 and 1953T1 alloys during testing for general, intercrystalline and layer corrosion.
