Реферат

Both global and Russian practice of increasing of service durability of carbon lining materials for aluminium electrolyzers has the basic ways:
– increasing of graphite content in their formula as the most resistant one to the effect of cryolite-aluminous melt made of carbon materials;
– graphitized blocks using.
These trends show the necessity of usage of carbon paste, adapted to carbongraphite and graphitized blocks. In the last decades, production of carbon pastes has been using the plastified pitch for obtaining of cold ramming mixtures. Plastified pitch has the decreased physical-mechanical characteristics of compositions on its basis in comparison with average-temperature and hightemperature pitches, used in blocks production. This specificity of plastified pitch sets the certain tasks for optimization of production and usage of cold ramming mixtures. Another tasks are set with definition of rammability (basic characteristics of carbon pastes) and preparation of samples for acceptance testings (including the new ones), similarily to international standards.
We carried out this research with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation (Decree No. 211 on 16.03.2013), agreement No. 02.A03.21.0011.
