Various non-stick paints, applied during copper alloy casting in cold-setting mixture molds, are unsuitable for art casting, because of their thick application, distorting the art model relief. That's why the art casting technology is offered, where non-stick paint is replaced by refractory layer, which is applied directly to the model, with following connection with cold-setting mixture mold, making the facing ceramic layer. This layer allows to show the art model relief without distortion, prevents the burnt-on and improves the art casting surface quality. The problems of refractory layer creation on the mold surface were considered together with selection of optimal technology parameters. The Furtolit, S15, M3 and KF65 (КФ65) resins were tested for the most durable connection of ceramic layer with mold. These tests were carried out on standard figure-of-eight samples, which difference is in their shape, consisting of two resin-glued parts. One part is made of cold-setting mixture, while another is made of the model composition PS50-50 (ПС50-50). There was also selected the release agent, providing the easiest separation of ceramic layer from the model. The compositions, creating thin anti-adhesion film on model surface, were selected for this purpose. The suds grease was tested together with the transformer oil grease, WD-40, Cramolin-Silikon and KC-M. Technology of art casting obtaining using cold-setting mixture lump mold with facing ceramic layer was developed on the basis of the carried out researches and was tested in working conditions.
