Innovation technology allowing to organize the process of complex designing and engineering on the base of 3D modeling in the united information space is putting into practice. Implementation of 3D projects and receiving documentation in preset terms with required quality is considered as a priority task. To solve this problem, the 3D designing technology based on Building Information Modeling (BIM). BIM is a transition from graphic project presentation to an information one. BIMbased designing allows to provide quality of projects and to rise operation productivity. Since 2011 till present time “Gipronickel” Institute” OJC has executed 3D projects on Revit platform using BIM innovation technology. The projects are preparing in accordance with the approved plans of order for the Head company as well as Norilsk and Kola affiliates. The personnel was made acquainted with the new designing technologies and was trained to work with the new specialized software complexes. The corporate standards for preparing the project documentation are developed; they take into account operating features of Autodesk Revit program. Distributed work in the united information space on the base of Revit Server between the remote sites of “Gipronickel” Institute” OJC is organized. The library of 3D Revit elements is created. Putting into practice and consequent development of 3D designing using BIM technology in “Gipronickel” Institute” OJC allows to make a conclusion about good prospects and innovative features of this direction providing rise of work productivity and improvement of quality of manufactured designing projects. Based on the implemented 3D projects, the working documentation is prepared (2D drawings meeting the requirements of GOST and STP standards). The tendency of increase of number of 3D projects quantity, designers and project grades executed in 3D mode in the period 2011–2014 is noted. The common catalogue of 3D Revit elements is permanently forming in order to use afterwards in other projects. As well, the united base of 3D projects of the Head company and affiliates of “Gipronickel” Institute” OJC is actualized continuously.
