Abstract | In order to study the efficiency of new flotation agent “P”, investigations with methods of mathematical planning of the experiment were carried out during sulfide copper ores flotation. The plan of three-factor experiments at five levels is used for determination of optimum conditions of flotation process of copper sulfide ore. Consumption of collector “P”, environment controller (lime) and T-92 foaming agent is the determining factor of enrichment process. Flotation agent “P” is referred to the class of organic compounds (thiophosphates). Efficiency of flotation process was controlled by extraction of copper in the concentrate. Ore crushing degree was 58% of –0.074 mm of the grain size fraction. Maximum values for extraction of copper in concentrate are observed in the time of consumption of 20 g/t of reagent-collector “P”, 1,5 kg/t of lime, and T-92 — 55 g/t of foaming agent. The generalized equations were calculated by Protodyakonov equation on extraction and containing of copper in concentrate. According to equations of private dependencies, there can be made a conclusion that all studied factors in matrix experiments make an influence on technological characteristics of copper ores flotation. The calculated values of correlation coefficient R for generalized equation indicate the adequacy of multivariate dependencies to flotation process of Balkhash copper ore. The offered model was tested in closed-cycle flotation experiments. Results of experiments showed that optimal consumption of 25 g/t of flotation agent “P”, 1.5 kg/t of CaO consumption and 55 g/t of foaming agent provided the extraction of 93.57% of copper in concentrate, with 20,06% of copper quality. Obtained results for extraction and content of copper in concentrate confirm that application of new flotation agent “P” allows to increase copper recovery by 6%, in comparison with conventional flotation agents (butyl xanthate). |
