Abstract

This article gives the experience of the choice of optimal transport scheme of technological cargo transportation in the conditions of changing of economic situation on the freight market in 2010–2012. There are also described the initial data about placing of production facilities of Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company. There are given the reasons, which make an influence on transportation process (economic, technological, weather etc.). The history of technological transportation on circulation area between Zapolyarny town and Nikel settlement is traced from the beginning of the last century till nowadays. There are given the examples of the influence of automobile transport development on the choice of optimal transportation scheme, taking into account the fact that this transport has been greatly advanced for several decades, especially in the carrying capacity area. In turn, this advance was reflected in decreasing of cost of dislocation of 1 tone of cargo to the given distance. At the same time, railway transport, which has been the monopolist and paramilitary forming for a long time, has just started the “competition for the customer”. Railwayman have efficient technological levers of accordance of more profitable economic conditions to the customer. At the same time, in comparison with motorists, they continue to apply the “global” approach, instead of “individual”. Consequences of such approach and possible ways of cheeping of railway cargo transportation are also considered in this article.
