Abstract

The essence of selectivity of reagents-modifiers action is considered along with requirements of flotation theory to this selectivity and conditions for realization of these requirements in practice. It is shown that increasing of selectivity of reagents-modifiers in the processes of bulk and selective flotation can be reached by application of physical-chemical models for optimum operating conditions of these reagents-modifiers in automation systems. There are given the theoretically proved and experimentally confirmed models, whichare necessary for increasing of selectivity and stabilization of technological processes, and for increasing of technological indices of flotation and realization of a full water-turn at factory. There is discussed the outlook of usage of complex inorganic, organic and metal-organic compounds as new selective reagentsmodifiers. It is proved that the theoretical essence of selectivity of these compounds is based on the conformity of electronic and steric parameters of reagent and a surface of minerals.
