Abstract

Laboratory researches on decreasing of the content of non-ferrous metals in ferruginous cake of chloric and cobaltous shop of nickel plant were carried out by introduction of metal-resolvent and washings of obtained cake with acid water in iron-cobalt pulp. There is shown the principal possibility of decreasing of a content of non-ferrous metals by both methods. According to results of the carried out researches, modernization of recrystallization technology of ferruginous cake, with application of washing solution, became more useful. However, unfortunately, copper is transferred into solution during the realization of such method. According to this, the load for following operation of first thin iron-copper purification is increased, which causes its cumulation in the contour and, as a result, it causes the necessity of changing of regime of sedimentation of copper from the solution. The following researches of the proposed technical decision are required for the research of influence of acid washing on operation of thin iron and copper purification. There is proposed the technological scheme of processing of iron-cobalt pulp with application of iron chloride (III) as a peptizer. This scheme makes it possible to extract ~60% of cobalt and ~50% of nickel from ferruginous cakes, from their residual content. At the same time, usage of peptizer does not decrease the extraction of copper into ferruginous cake, which makes it possible to carry out the rest technological operations without significant losses.
