In this article the results of a study of tailings with an objective of increasing gold recovery associated with sulphides, carbonates, etc; and also the opening of finely dispersed gold by modern intensification technologies, such as ultrasound and magneticpulse treatment, are shown. The chemical and mineralogical composition of the cyanidation tailings were studied by semiquantitative spectral, chemical, phase, assay, X-ray spectral and microanalysis. Investigations on ultrasound treatment were carried out and the phase compositions after the treatment were studied. In the course of carrying out the phase analysis, forms of gold found in cyanidation tailings after ultrasound treatment and without treatment were determined. It was shown that ultrasound pretreatment followed by dissolution in cyanide solutions gives recovery at a level of 28.8%, which is 12.6% more than without pre-treatment. The effect of ultrasound on granulometric composition of the cyanidation tailings was studied. It was established that the ultrasound treatment of tailings destroys the weakest mineral aggregates and liberates fine gold from it, it also destroys surface films exposing the gold enclosed in it. Given also the results of experiments on gold dissolution in thiourea and cyanide solutions with magnetic-pulse pre-treatment. It was shown, that magnetic-pulse pre-treatment in a greater degree destroys larger on material class. Gold recovery after magneticpulse pre-treatment with subsequent leaching in cyanide solutions was at a level of 27.3%. Resin AuRIX®100 was used as an adsorbent for the sorption of gold from cyanide solutions with ultrasound and also with magnetic-pulse.
