Abstract

In this part of the article the essence of mineral separation selectivity, requirements of the flotation theory to it and conditions of their realization in practice are considered. It is shown, that primary use of sulfhydrilic collectors in flotation of sulphide minerals is caused by their conformity on the basis of the theory of soft and rigid acids and the bases to the Pirson’s principle. Methods for increase in selectivity of reagents-collectors action are proved. It is shown, that they can be realized by use of distinction: in values of the necessary collector concentration for flotation of minerals to be divided in conditions of their zero charge; in electrophysical properties of divided minerals for which regulation power influences can be used; in values of the potential of the divided minerals the oxidation onset which regulation is based on the opportunity of change in the value of the oxidation-reduction potential of pulp. The reasons and conditions for effective utilization of ionogenic and nonionogenic collectors mixtures from positions of overmolecular structures formation and securing by Кulberg’s rule the conformity of geometrical, stereochemical and electronic structures of the collector and a mineral are considered.
