This article considers the possibility of efficient usage of discovered Ni–Pt deposits for social and economic development of Voronezh Oblast. Taking into account the advanced experience of Russia, a new sector of national economy can accelerate the sustainable development of this constituent entity of Russian Federation. Since 1935, “Norilsk Nickel” MMC has been developing the strategically important resources. With the support of a State, a wealth of experience of the company made it possible to reach the advanced indices in profitability and technical and technological requirements of non-ferrous metallurgy. Application of most of methods of complex usage of ores in Voronezh Oblast is useful. It is possible to use the rock mass completely (for example, rock mass for manufacturing of construc tion materials and other creative activities), especially because Voronezh Oblast has favourable climate and economic development of territory.
