Authors of the article compare the main ways to measure the temperature of molten metals in foundry machinery industry, such as the measurement of temperature of the portable bars with disposable bags platinum different designs for operational measurements of temperature, temperature melts ferrous metal thermocouples and platinum tungsten-rhenium thermocouples identifies their advantages and disadvantages with the proposed method has tested the operational temperature melts of various grades of steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, which is based on pyrometric measurement method. We propose a way to measure that eliminates the influence of emissivity of molten metal mirrors and smoke, the presence of slag on the surface pyrometer readings, as well as a pyrometer, which exclude the effect of high temperature and electromagnetic interference for his testimony. To eliminate the effect of emissivity on the testimony of the pyrometer in molten metal with a special cover forming a cavity with emissivity close to the model of a black body, which increases the accuracy of the pyrometric method. With this solution significantly reduces the thermal reaction time measurements to 4 ... 7 seconds of immersion in molten mantle. Described in this article infrared thermometer enables operational measurements melt both ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the range of 400 to 1800 oC. This method of measuring the temperature of molten metals is different from those discussed in the article on lowcost measurement, high precision and the complete absence of the contents of precious metals in the infrared thermocouples, as well as to reduce the financial costs associated with deterioration of the classical temperature sensors, as in case of failure must be replaced a removable cover, the cost of which is significantly lower than that of platinum thermocouples.
