Abstract

Experimental research were studied to obtain deformed semifinished products from aluminum-zirconium alloys and evaluation of their properties in order to establish the effect of the input of zirconium and the preparation conditions of the melt on the strength characteristics of the metal; comparison of strength properties of deformed semi-finished products obtained by using various schemes of casting operations of billets including an electromagnetic crystallizer and follow a combined rolling-extruding, as well as the combined casting and rolling-extruding using molten metal; estimate the change of the strength properties of the semi-finished at high temperatures. Given the dependences of the yield stress of the metal of the degree deformation at various process parameters of combined processing which allows predicting the properties of new alloys in their deformation processing. Experimentally confirmed that the proposed regimes of combined processing allow producing long-length press products of electro technical purpose from low alloyed alloys of Al – Zr-system with increased strength properties. Established that the increase in test temperature to 200 оC for bars obtained by the combined casting and rolling-extruding of aluminum alloy containing 0.15% zirconium causes a decrease in the values of the ultimate tensile strength of the metal on 3–4%, and at a sample temperature of 350оC — on 5–7%.
