Abstract

On the basis of the analysis of technological researches on vacuum refinement the three-phasic scheme of processing of the melted draft cadmium with receiving branded Kd0 metal and thallium allocation in a separate product is offered and tested. The scheme of processing includes cadmium distillation from draft at 420–440 oC at the first stage with receiving the condensate corresponding on structure to the Kd0 brand, at extraction in it near 80% Cd from draft and restriction of accumulation of thallium by concentration of 15%. At the second stage from the rest of the first distillation at temperature 850–900 oC evaporate and condense in common cadmium and thallium with receiving collective liquid condensate and the secondary rest sent to the scheme of refinement of draft lead. Collective condensate of cadmium and thallium overwork distillation in vacuum at 600–700 oC as a result of which cadmium passes to a steam phase and forms turnaround condensate with the thallium impurity, united with initial draft cadmium. The distillation rest at the third stage represents draft thallium. The balance test which has been carried out with draft cadmium of the Chimkent lead plant, containing 2.7% of Tl, allowed to take 80.74% of cadmium in Kd0 brand metal at an exit of the last 78.33% from the loaded. 93.88% of thallium are taken in draft thallium, at an exit of its 2.56%. The exit of turnaround condensate of the cadmium containing 0.05% for Tl, defining circulating load of the equipment, made 17.7%. The scheme allows to refuse operations of division of cadmium and thallium a re-extraction in the hydrometallurgy scheme and restoration of each metal by a zinc dust.
