Technical Requirements for sending articles to "Ore and Metals" Publishing House

Technical Requirements for sending articles to "Ore and Metals" Publishing House

1. Articles would have no more than 5 authors (it is possible to point other participants in a bottom note).

2. Article (with pictures) would be presented in 2 copies + the abstract (in Russian and, whenever possible, in English). + 7-10 key words. The abstract should include at least 6-7 sentences and explain the paper content rather completely. If article is presented in the electronic mode, it is necessary to attach only one printed copy.

3. Standard size of the article would be 8-10 text pages + 2-3 illustrations. Text is to be printed with usage of double line spacing.

4. It is desirable to put a CD with article record in Word for electronic documents. Please save pictures as separate graphic files in TIF, EPS or PSD format with resolution it is not less 300 dpi at scale 1:1.

5. Information would be not too long, data from tables and pictures would be not repeated, reference to literature and pictures would be stated in the main body of text.

6. Bibliographic list should contain the following data:

· For magazine article: an author surname and the initials, the full title of magazine, year of the edition, volume, issue, pages of the article beginning and end;

· For books: an author surname and the initials, title of issue, place of publication, publisher (for foreign source it is enough to specify a city), year of the edition, total number of pages in the book;

· For articles in the collection: the collection title, issue or volume number, place of publication, publisher, pages of the article beginning and end;

- Number of the literary reference is given in square brackets in a corresponding place of the text.

7. Bibliographic list should be converted using Latin font, including authors' surname and initials, title of the journal or book and of the article itself, while technical terms (issue, volume, page, et al., idid. etc) and their abbreviations are to be translated in English.

8. Pictures would be sharply defined, suitable for computer reproduction. Please don't write in pictures the minor data having no direct relation to the text of article. Photos (coloured) should be contrast and accompanied with the titles.

9. It is necessary to present physical units and designations in the SI International System of Units.

10. It is necessary to attach the article an author's card with recitation of occupation, position, academic degree, address and phone (for each of the authors) as well as e-mail of one of the authors.

11. The scientific and technical articles, including those written by post-graduate students are published free of charge.
