Tsvetnye Metally
The articles, published in the 12-th issue of "Tsvetnye Metally" (Non-ferrous metals) journal (December, 2012) share the subject area of heavy and light non-ferrous metals, noble metals and alloys, and rare metals. This issue shares the questions of theory and practice of ore concentration, production and processing of non-ferrous metals, complex usage of crude ores, economics and management of production and industrial automation.
This issue continues the series of publications about the projects of «Russian Copper Company». The section «Heavy Non-ferrous Metals» includes two articles, which tell about the introduction of innovation technologies at «Novgorod Metallurgical Plant» JSC. This introduction made it possible to organize the processing of secondary copper-containing raw materials with various content of metals-impurities. As a result of processing of secondary raw materials, with application of this scheme, there are no formation of wastes. All smelting products (metall, slimes and dust) are the final products, which are realized to the consumers.
National University of Science and Technology "MISIS" developed the technology of graphene production. For the purpose of commercialization, there was held the technical and economical substantiation and definition of marketable cost of the production technology, which is detaily considered in the article by B. G. Kiselyov, V. V. Kozlov, A. V. Popkova, A. V. Kostikova and E. I. Dobryakova. The article shares the analysis of graphene market: there are described the basic operators, and the forecast of marketable development is presented till 2020. This article also describes the structure of the consumption, according to industries. This technology makes it possible to obtain the graphene in the considerable volumes, without losses of its unique properties. The sphere of usage of the material is various. Obtaining of test sample in laboratory conditions makes it possible to organize the semi-industrial production, with the following scientific and research, and experimental design works.
The International Meeting «Plaksin Readings – 2012» was held on September 10-14, 2012 in Petrozavodsk. The key object of the «Plaksin Readings» was the discussion of new knowledges and innovation technologies in the sphere of processing of mineral raw materials, increasing of usage complexity of raw materials, with the following obtaining of high-quality final products, on the basis of fundamental researches. The article by V. A. Chanturiya, V. V. Shchiptsov and V. A. Bocharov shares the brief review of the reports from this meeting.
The section «Metal Processing» includes the article by A. M. Drits, V. V. Ovchinnikov and R. N. Rastopchin, which shares the peculiarities of the structure and properties of abutting joints of annealed plates, obtained from the aluminium alloy 1565ch (1565ч), using the argon arc and plasma arc welding. There was researched the influence of the composition of filler rod on the properties and structure of welded joints of annealed plates, made from the alloy 1565ch.
The article by A. K. Nikolaev, G. V. Ashikhmin and N. I. Revina considers the influence of temperature rates of deformation, tempering and aging on structure and properties of large goods, made from the beryllium bronze of responsible purpose. There were proposed the temperature rates of forging, tempering and aging of large goods which allow to ensure the set combination of mechanical properties.
The section «Chronicle» includes the article about the artists from Orel State University, and their works. In spite of the difference of the performance style and the types of creativity, these artists are united by many things. First of all, they are the graduates from the Artistic and Graphic Faculty of Orel State University. M. M. Shulgin is the Dean of this faculty, and A. V. Kuznetsov is the Head of the Chair of Drawing. Both of them successfully combine the creative and pedagogical activities for more than 30 years. The members of editorial staff of "Tsvetnye Metally" (Non-ferrous metals) journal hope, that the works, presented in this issue, will be very interesting to readers.
As usual, at the end of the 12-th issue, there is published the contents of the "Tsvetnye Metally" (Non-ferrous metals) journal for the whole 2012 year.
