Tsvetnye Metally
The third issue of Tsvetnye Metally (Non-ferrous metals) journal (March 2014) includes the articles, which share the subject area of heavy and light non-ferrous metals, rare metals and composite materials. The issue shares the problems of theory and practice of ore concentration, production and processing of non-ferrous metals, complex use of crude ore, economics and management of production, and automation of metallurgical industry.
The section «Economics and Management of Production» includes the article by B. G. Kiselev, L. V. Kozhitov, D. G. Muratov, A. V. Savkina and A. V. Popkova, which gives the feasibility report of production of FeCo/C nanocomposite and assessment of marketable value of such technology.
The article by M. Skachkov and S. P. Yatsenko, published in the section «Aluminium, Alumina, Carbon Materials» describes the method of obtaining of aluminium-based Sc-, Zr, Hf- and Y-ligatures by method of high-temperature exchange reactions in salt melts.
The section «Magnesium, Titanium, Rare Metals, Semiconductors» widely describes the proceedings of members of Ural Department of Russian Academy of Sciences. The articles consider the questions about refining of Ta, Zr and Nb melts, extraction of gallium from alkaline solutions of alumina industry, application of microencapsulated extraction agents for extraction of Sc and rare-earth metals, and extraction of Sc, Zr, Th and Fe from hydrochloric acid mediums.
The article by S. P. Yatsenko, V. M. Skachkov, T. I. Krasnenko and L. A. Pasechnik, published in the section «Compozites and Multipurpoze Coatings» describes the synthesis, properties and application of precipitation hardening solder alloys, based on copper and gallium.
