Investigation of indium forms in the products of processing of zinc concentrates

Up-to-date analytical methods for substantial composition have been used for investigation of the forms of indium presence in zinc concentrate, in its calcinations products (cinder), in zinc cake, in waeltz-oxide, in clinker, in the skull of waeltz furnace, in hydrate-lead and lead cakes and in indium sulfide concentrate at Chelyabinsk zinc works. Diagnostic properties of the established compounds are presented and crystal-chemical characteristics of the each of found compounds is given. The complete structural description of copper metathioindate is given for the first time, with calculation of the parameters of crystal lattice and space group. Copper metathioindate, revealed according to these parameters, corresponds to rokesite mineral (CuInS2).
Variation of the forms of indium revealing is watched according to variation of the parameters of technological process. Relationship between indium extraction and its forms in studied technological objects at Chelyabinsk zinc works is found out.
The book is intended for scientific and scientific-technical specialists, busy in zinc production. It can be also useful for the students of elder courses, masters and post-graduates of metallurgical specialties.
